Why these questions
- Height and near power lines or buildings decide the method, equipment and risk.
- Access tells you whether a chipper or vehicle can reach the tree.
- Protected tree asks about preservation orders or conservation areas, which can need permission before work.
- Photos of the whole tree, its surroundings and the trunk show size and condition.
3Set it up#
- Choose Tree Removal in the setup wizard. Already using another niche? Your niche → Change niche, then confirm by typing Tree Removal, with "Load this niche's starter texts" ticked.
- Settings → Region & photos: keep Minimum photos at 1 or more. A photo of the whole tree is very useful.
- Settings → Page texts: explain in the FAQ how you handle protected trees in your area.
- If you use feet, edit the height options in Form fields to show feet first.
Recommended theme: Classic
Tree work is a home service bought by homeowners. Classic is friendly and its picture tiles make the choices clear.

5Reading a request#
Each request opens with a quick assessment: coloured flags for what matters most in this trade.
- Service: Emergency is flagged as a bigger or more valuable job.
- Hazards: Near buildings is flagged as needing attention (cost, access or risk).
- Height: 10–15 m (33–50 ft), Over 15 m (50 ft) is flagged as needing attention (cost, access or risk).
- Access: Only through the house is flagged as needing attention (cost, access or risk).
- Protected: Yes is flagged as needing attention (cost, access or risk).
- Debris: shown for quick reading.
- Photos: green when every photo tile is filled, amber when only some are.
- Visit: highlighted when it is today or tomorrow, so you can plan quickly.
- Location: shows whether the customer set an exact map pin, which makes directions easy.
What to look at first
- Near power lines is the most important flag: some work must be done with the power company. Never promise a date before checking.
- Emergency requests need a call, not a message.
- Height over 15 m or access only through the house means more equipment and people.
- Protected: Yes or Not sure: check permission before quoting a date.

6Pricing your quote#
Price by tree size, difficulty and what's left behind.
- Start with a price per tree by height band.
- Add for difficulty: near buildings or power lines, poor access, or climbing instead of a lift.
- Add for removing wood and debris, and for stump grinding.
- For large or complex jobs, offer a visit before a final price.
These are ways to think about price, not market prices. Use your own costs and local rates.
7Messages to customers#
