Why these questions
- Monthly bill tells you the system size they need.
- Goals (lower bills, power during outages, off-grid, selling back) decide the system type and battery.
- Roof type, area and shade decide how many panels fit and how well they'll work.
- Photos of the meter and bill show the connection and usage.

Make them yours
- Avoid promising exact savings: say they depend on usage and sunlight.
- Explain net metering in your FAQ if it exists where you work.
5Reading a request#
Each request opens with a quick assessment: coloured flags for what matters most in this trade.
- Monthly bill: $350 to 500, Over $500 is flagged as a bigger or more valuable job.
- Goals: Go fully off-grid is flagged as a bigger or more valuable job.
- Roof: shown for quick reading.
- Roof area: flagged by size (anything above 20 m² stands out).
- Shade: A lot is flagged as needing attention (cost, access or risk).
- Battery: shown for quick reading.
- Payment: shown for quick reading.
- Photos: green when every photo tile is filled, amber when only some are.
- Site survey: highlighted when it is today or tomorrow, so you can plan quickly.
What to look at first
- Bill and goals together show the system size.
- A lot of shade may make solar unsuitable; say so honestly.
- Three phase is common for larger systems.

6Pricing your quote#
Solar is quoted per system size; use the bill to propose one.
- Estimate system size from the monthly bill and goals.
- Add batteries for outage or off-grid goals.
- Add for difficult roofs (metal, high, ground mounting).
- Offer two or three options (for example with and without battery).
These are ways to think about price, not market prices. Use your own costs and local rates.
