Why these questions
- Skip size and hire period set the base price.
- Type of waste matters for disposal: soil, rubble and plasterboard often cost more or need a special skip.
- Placement: a skip on the road usually needs a permit from the local council, which you may arrange and charge for.
- Lorry access tells you whether your lorry can reach the spot (narrow roads, low wires, trees).
3Set it up#
- Choose Skip Hire in the setup wizard. Already using another niche? Your niche → Change niche, then confirm by typing Skip Hire, with "Load this niche's starter texts" ticked.
- Settings → Form fields: rename skip sizes to match your own (some areas use cubic yards, others cubic metres or litres).
- Settings → Form fields: remove waste types you don't accept, so customers can't choose them.
- Settings → Region & photos: set Quick date buttons to the number of days ahead you usually deliver.
Recommended theme: Professional
Skip hire is often booked by builders and businesses. Professional's clear sections and radio choices feel like an order form, which suits them.

- Waste type: heavy or special waste may change the skip size you can allow or the price.
- Not sure on size is common: suggest a size based on the waste type and hire period.

6Pricing your quote#
Skip hire is usually a fixed price per size and hire period, plus extras.
- Base price per skip size for your standard hire period.
- Extra per day or week for longer hire.
- Add the road permit fee when it goes on the road.
- Add or refuse heavy or special waste according to your disposal costs.
These are ways to think about price, not market prices. Use your own costs and local rates.
