1Overview#
For cargo shipping and freight forwarding businesses. Customers choose sea, air or road, the load and container, quantity, weight, describe the goods, choose door or port service and extras like customs, then give the collection and delivery address or port.

Why these questions
- Mode and load decide which rates you check.
- Weight and quantity set the size of the shipment.
- Goods description matters for customs and restrictions.
- Extras like customs clearance and insurance are part of the quote.
3Set it up#
- Choose Cargo Shipping in the setup wizard. Already using another niche? Your niche → Change niche, then confirm by typing Cargo Shipping, with "Load this niche's starter texts" ticked.
- Settings → Form fields: remove modes you don't offer (for example air freight).
- Settings → Region & photos: set the Furthest bookable date to several months for planned shipments.
Recommended theme: Professional
Freight is business-to-business. Professional's structured form looks like a proper rate request.
4Page texts#
These starter texts are loaded with the niche. Make them yours in Settings → Page texts.

- Explain in the FAQ which documents customers usually need (commercial invoice, packing list).
5Reading a request#
Each request opens with a quick assessment: coloured flags for what matters most in this trade.
- Load: Full container (FCL), Vehicle / machinery is flagged as a bigger or more valuable job.
- Mode: shown for quick reading.
- Quantity: flagged by size (anything above 3 units stands out).
- Weight: 2 to 10 tonnes, Over 10 tonnes is flagged as a bigger or more valuable job; Not sure is flagged as needing attention (cost, access or risk).
- Extras: Hazardous goods, Temperature controlled is flagged as needing attention (cost, access or risk).
- Distance: worked out by road between the two addresses; highlighted from 2000 km as a long trip.
- Ready date: highlighted when it is today or tomorrow, so you can plan quickly.
- Location: shows whether the customer set an exact map pin, which makes directions easy.
What to look at first
- Full container and vehicles or machinery are flagged as bigger shipments.
- Hazardous or temperature controlled goods need special handling and checks.
- Read the goods description for anything restricted.

6Pricing your quote#
Freight quotes combine the carrier rate with your services.
- Get the carrier rate for the mode, route, volume and weight.
- Add local collection or delivery for door services.
- Add customs clearance, insurance, packing and storage.
- Give the transit time and how long the quote is valid.
These are ways to think about price, not market prices. Use your own costs and local rates.
7Messages to customers#
Your quote message is filled in automatically when you send a quote on WhatsApp. This is the starter template (Settings → Page texts):

- Partner with importers, exporters and online sellers.

9Launch checklist#
- Modes you don't offer removed.

- Send one test request from your phone and check it arrives by WhatsApp and email.
